Role Overview
As Head of Strategy, you are responsible for shaping the thinking behind everything we create. You ensure every work, whether social, KOL, or campaign is rooted in real human insight, relevant to culture, and aligned with business objectives.
You don’t just respond to briefs. You define the direction, challenge the problem, and elevate the standard of thinking across the team. You will lead strategy across all projects ensuring every campaign is grounded in strong insight, clear direction, and business relevance. You will work closely with Analysts, Account, Creative, and KOL teams to turn data and trends into impactful strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the quality of strategic thinking
Lead strategy across all key projects (social, KOL, campaign)
Turn unclear or surface-level briefs into sharp, actionable directions
Ensure every output is grounded in insight, not assumption
Connect business goals with audience behavior and cultural context
2. Translate data into meaning
Work closely with Analysts to turn data into clear narratives
Identify patterns, tensions, and opportunities from data & trends
Ensure insights are not just informative, but usable and directional
3. Build systems, not just decks
Develop simple, scalable strategy frameworks and playbooks
Standardize ways of thinking without killing creativity
Continuously refine how strategy is built, presented, and applied
4. Be a thinking partner across teams
Collaborate closely with Account, Creative, and KOL teams
Ensure alignment from strategy → idea → execution
Challenge ideas constructively to make the work sharper and more effective
5. Strengthen pitch & growth efforts
Support pitches with strong, insight-driven narratives
Help define strategic angles that make Lèngua stand out
Bring fresh perspectives from culture, trends, and audience behavior
6. Lead and grow the strategy team
Mentor team members to think beyond execution
Guide them in structuring problems and building insights
Raise the overall bar of strategic thinking across the team
Requirements
Who You Are (Qualifications)
8 - 10+ years of experience in strategy/planning (agency background preferred)
Proven experience handling FMCG clients (must)
Exposure to banking/telco is a plus
Experience leading and developing a team
Strong strategic thinking (you can connect insight → idea → execution)
Comfortable working with data and collaborating with Analysts
Solid understanding of social media and KOL landscape
Able to simplify complexity into clear frameworks
Strong communication and presentation skills
